COMMITTEES
Economic Development/Community Affairs:
This committee will assist Entrepreneurs starting businesses in the community and assist members with the production, distribution, and use of income, wealth and commodities. It will also interact with local government to help encourage economic development for the community. They will keep informed on significant legislation and community activities impacting businesses and effectively represent the needs and interests of the area's business community. This committee will provide the membership updates and offer topics of discussion at Monthly Luncheons and Networking Events.
Membership Ambassador/Education:
This committee will be responsible for member attraction and retention. They will personally contact all new members and help these members understand the benefits of membership. This committee will serve as greeters at events. In addition, this committee will follow up with non-member event attendees and offer information on becoming a Chamber member as well as find new members. It will also offer educational programs for the members on different topics of business every month on a rotating schedule. This committee will also offer a "New Member Success Program" to help members understand how to use the Chamber's networking opportunities to increase their business. This will be held monthly.
Marketing and Communications:
This committee will work to develop marketing strategies to promote advertising ads for the Chamber newsletter and directory. Also develop marketing and communications to promote Chamber events.
FUTURE SPECIAL EVENT COMMITTEES
Bowling Tournament:
Responsibilities include getting sponsors, putting teams together, organizing schedules, securing prizes, gathering volunteers, and marketing the event.
Golf Outing: Responsibilities include getting sponsors, putting teams together, organizing schedules, securing prizes, gathering volunteers, and marketing the event.
Holiday Bash:
Responsibilities include securing a location, getting sponsors, securing prizes for auctions, entertainment, gathering volunteers for the event.
Plum Community Days: Responsibilities include gathering volunteers for the event, organizing schedules and marketing the event.
